Facts

Corona viruses are a large group of viruses that are common among animals.

Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) virus jumped from civet cat to humans - Deadly💀 ⚰️

Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) virus jumped from camels to humans - Deadly 💀⚰️

Wuhan Corona virus originated at a seafood and wildlife market - Too early to tell if it is as deadly as SARS and MERS.

Experts think that the corona virus jumped from bats to snakes to humans.

If indeed it did jump from a snake then it shows how potent the virus is because it adapted immediately from a cold blooded animal to a warm blooded one.

These viruses cause respiratory illness and can be transmitted from human to human.

The most vulnerable so far are the elderly, young and those with underlying medical condition such as diabetes or heart problems.

A French expert said the current Wuhan strain was 80% genetically identical to SARS and there is no drug or vaccine available for treatment

Symptoms

If you had been abroad then you should immediately report to your GP.
