Why bother to bake?

Why are my tarts extra lucky this year?

Baking is therapeutic and calming because you will have to be focused. All other thoughts just leave your mind.

The smell stimulates your senses.

I always get an emotional lift at the end product. It is such a sense of satisfaction.

When I give away my tarts my WhatsApp is filled with hearts 🥰 and how I am the best👍

It’s a winning strategy!

I bake from scratch. I buy my sweet pineapples from a super friendly fruit seller in Joo Chiat.

I grate the pineapples as this gives a uniform paste (not too watery)

This year my tarts are extra special because when I cracked the egg for the pastry it had a twin yolk!
