Make a Wish on Christmas Morning

It is Christmas morning and a tradition that my British friends passed on to me is this.

Take one bit from a mince pie and make a wish.

Then finish eating the whole pie.

A mince pie is not filled with meat. It is of English origin and is filled with dried fruits and spices such as cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg .

Every year as a student I would wish that I will get through all my exams.

What would you wish for?

Make realistic wishes so that you could work at it to make it come true.

Wishing for a huge windfall from a lottery is a wasted wish because it is estimated that the odds of winning eg toto is about 1 in 14 million.

Wish for good grades for exams.

Wish for good health for the family.

Wish for longevity of parents.

Wish for a soul mate.

Wish for road safety 出入平安.

By all means buy a ticket to feel good and at same time do good as you will contribute to the charities supported by the Singapore Pools
